New Year, New Tools: 2017 Product Launch
In 2007, Sara was a Fulbright Scholar in Bogota, Colombia when she was inspired to author the original Move This World curriculum. Since that time, Move This World has continued to evolve, in large part thanks to the support we’ve received from our partner schools.
We’ve now impacted over 300,000 educators and students. As the 2017-2018 school year begins, we’re excited to be launching a new suite of tools for our PreK-12 students and educators. Based on the feedback we’ve received from you - our teachers, students and administrators - we’ve updated all of our past tools and created over 3 hours of new video content. We’ve expanded our library of social and emotional learning resources, added discussion boards to encourage collaboration between partner schools, and included follow-up questions to supplement each episode. Finally, we’ve improved our implementation process, guides, and the overall usability of the platform.
This recent product launch includes:
28 new evidence-based video tools aligned with the five core social-emotional competencies as defined by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning
Over 3 hours of additional video content
Deep thinking follow-up questions
Library of Social-Emotional Learning resources for administrators, teachers and students
Discussion boards to facilitate conversation between users across the country
We hope these new tools will continue to strengthen the social and emotional wellbeing of our educators and students. By combining theories from positive psychology and expressive arts therapy with technology resources, we’re able to increase accessibility to effective SEL programs. As we kick off another school year, we appreciate your ongoing support and feedback. Take a sneak peek of one of the new middle school tools, Time Traveler, below:
