VP of Partnerships
At Move This World, we’re looking for a full-time VP of Partnerships to expand social emotional learning and creative expression to new school partners across the country.
About Move This World:
Move This World's social emotional learning program provides PreK-12 educators and students with video tools to strengthen their social and emotional wellbeing in order to create healthy environments where effective teaching and learning can occur. Through evidence-based, developmentally appropriate videos that open and close the school day, Move This World ritualizes a daily practice of identifying, expressing and managing emotions. The program is hosted on Move This World's online platform, which includes: educational videos, a social emotional learning resource library, interactive discussion boards, and a dedicated wellbeing consultant. To date, Move This World has impacted over half a million students and teachers across 24 states and Washington D.C.
About the Role:
As the leader of Move This World’s Sales & Marketing team, you’ll be responsible for leading and executing our growth plans to secure new clients at the district and individual school levels. This role is for a player-coach who will be responsible for management of a small team as well as assisting in the sales process. Your role will include close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Client Services to determine ways in which we can expand our new client base while, at the same time, expand our footprint with current clients.
You will shape strategy for a first mover leading organization in social emotional learning, manage your own pipeline of schools, and drive the achievement of the organization’s overall new revenue goals.
You are a self-starting, entrepreneurial sales professional who understands schools, teachers, and students. You know and respect that teachers and students are facing new and unique challenges everyday and you want to help them overcome these obstacles. You’re detail-oriented and flexible, willing to do what it takes to help more schools across the country thrive. You develop relationships at all levels, informed by consistent messaging that leads to the attainment of revenue goals. You’re excited to accelerate growth and build the leading social emotional wellness brand for students and teachers.
Manage top-notch team members who are having conversations with district and school leaders and help them move through the meeting, demo and closing process.
Own and manage metrics and goals that help drive Move This World’s growth.
Cultivate pipeline. Develop your own pipeline of districts and grow the team’s pipeline in partnership with the Business Development team.
Manage and track the team’s pipeline using our CRM tools.
Close business. Drive revenue by studying and navigating the customer buying process, engaging internal and external key stakeholders, and ultimately securing a signed agreement.
Support the team in being the best first impression of Move This World throughout the in-person and demo process.
Be a champion of social and emotional wellbeing and creative expression and become an expert at articulating why this work is important.
Provide thought leadership to partners by connecting educators with effective social emotional learning practices.
BA/BS degree required.
Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
Strong communication skills, with an ability to communicate Move This World’s vision and mission to school leaders and teachers.
High organization and time management skills.
8+ years sales experience and 2+ years sales management experience.
A highly creative individual who possesses self-confidence, flexibility, and positive energy, and who thrives working in a dynamic environment.
Troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with creative ability to overcome challenges and problem solve.
Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership and accountability.
Ability to travel occasionally.
