About the Session: At this event, visitors will see first hand how Mississippi educators have prioritized social emotional learning in order to empower students and teachers. They will learn why social emotional learning (SEL) is essential for all students, how to best evaluate and select SEL programming, how to prepare teachers to address social and emotional skill development and best practices for program implementation. Visitors will have time to engage and collaborate with fellow administrators and teachers to discuss challenges and brainstorm ideas for next steps with one another. The session will conclude with an hour of networking while attendees enjoy lunch.

Move This World (MTW) is a social emotional learning program that provides PreK-12 educators and students with digital tools to strengthen their social emotional wellbeing in order to create healthy environments where effective teaching and learning can occur. Through evidence-based, developmentally appropriate digital tools, Move This World ritualizes a daily practice of identifying, expressing, and managing emotions.
