Arantxa Araujo is an artist, yogi and neuroscientist invested in discovering creative solutions to connect new experiences to previous ones imprinted in the brain and stored in our physical bodies. Araujo graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University where she received a MA in Motor Learning and Control. She was awarded a full scholarship from the Mexican Government Institution CONACYT. Araujo received her BA in Theater Studies focused in acting and costume design and a BS in Integrated Marketing Communications from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
In the classroom, Arantxa explores the relationship of physiological, affective and cognitive states; then looks at how they interact with each other. She is interested in each individual and the process of dealing with such interaction. Additionally, how each individual relates to others. She believes in the interconnectedness of things and the idea of changing one variable to change results. She believes that Move This World might be the variable that we need to add in our equations to achieve change.
Why I Move This World: I realized early in life that I am the change I want to see in the world. I am a part of the bigger picture and the way I behave and act will impact my surroundings. If we all know that we affect one another, we will all be more mindful of our actions.
